Etsy Side Hustle: Your Path to Profitable Online Selling

In a world where personal expression and creativity thrive, Etsy emerges as an online marketplace that celebrates the unique and the handmade. With its vast array of one-of-a-kind treasures and a global community of artisans, Etsy has revolutionized the way we discover and acquire distinctive handmade goods, vintage finds, and creative supplies. Join us on a journey as we delve into the captivating world of Etsy and explore how this platform has become a haven for both creators and seekers of extraordinary items.

The first Side hustle I ever tried out was Etsy. Etsy is for handmade creations that people make and ship out to their customers. There is also a second route that you can take if you would like to create an Etsy Shop. For someone that does not make handmade products, they seek out to third party sites like Printify and Printful. The store owner will create a design on such product using sites like canva or Envato Elements , and then when a consumer buys the product from the shop owner, the third party site (Printify or Printful) will ship the product for you to the consumer. All the shop owner will have to do is create a design on a product and then list it in their shop.

Steps To Start An Etsy Account
  1. Create your Etsy account. In order to start a seller account, you must first have a consumer account.
  2. You will then go through the settings of shop preference, name your shop, input your payment settings, and update your bio.
  3. You need to decide if you are going to do handmade creations and ship your products your or go through a third party. If you are going to make handmade items and ship them yourself, then go ahead and create listings.
  4. If you are going through a third party site then you need to decide which site you prefer. There are both pros and cons to Printify and Printful. Once you create an account on one of the sites, connect your Etsy store to your site so that when a consumer buys, the third party will know to ship the product.
  5. You will then need to promote your Etsy links to drive traffic to your Etsy Shop. You can read all about content creation on my Content Creation Blog

The best way to drive traffic to your Etsy Store is to have good SEO. Your shop will never thrive until you learn this step. There are many sources to help with SEO, but I highly recommend Sale Samurai . This SEO tool is about 10 dollars a month, but it is the tool that grew my shop the fastest.
